Bonny Hartigan Current has been an artist for as long as she can remember. She always loved horses and they were her primary focus for her early drawings and later paintings. She grew up watching her mother paint New England landscapes in oils but likes to paint in watercolor, oil and acrylics. Bonny continues to paint horses and rural scenes of country life as well as equine and other animal portraits. Bonny has been an elementary school art teacher in the town of Wolcott, Connecticut for the past sixteen years. She lives in a 1774 saltbox in Wolcott, with her husband Bob, where she likes to garden and care for her horse, two cats and dog. Her only child, Bethany, is out on her own, now, and is a keeper at the Beardsley Zoo. Bonny holds a Masters Degree in art education and continues to take classes and workshops from local artists. Bonny has her work in private collections around the country and has received several awards throughout her career, including being nominated for teacher of the year in Wolcott. She is also a former president of the Watertown Art League. Contact information:
