Robert DeFosses, artist with Fine Line Art Gallery

Robert DeFosses first became recognized as a creative photographer while attending Central Connecticut States College where two of his earliest black and white prints still hang in the Richard L. Judd Permanent Art Collection. From then on DeFosses has continued to win numerous professional photographic awards on the local, regional and national levels, including the prestigious Kodak Award for Excellence in Portraiture. He has also been inducted into Alpha Beta Kapa for his contribution to photographic education.

With a career now spanning more than forty years, DeFosses has created photographs using a variety of photographic materials and techniques, such as black and white photography, hand painting photographs, and natural color photography. He now works exclusively with digital photography, including his own print enhancement and Giclee’ print making.

As a photographic artist, the emotional attachment Robert DeFosses has to the world around him, from his home in Harwinton, Connecticut, to Cape Cod and beyond, can be felt in each of his images.
